Photography has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I remember saving up to buy my first camera when I was a teenager. It was money well spent. The many years of pleasure cannot be explained. To be able to freeze a moment in time, is what makes photography so MAGICAL to me. I have always had a darkroom. This was needed because every time I would send my pictures off to be developed, they would come back different from the way I remembered seeing the subject. Through extensive darkroom work, I would make the pictures RIGHT!!
This is why I enjoy digital photography so much today. The work in the darkroom can still be done, but with a click of a mouse. I don't really consider myself a photographer, I think of myself as an ARTIST, and the camera is my tool. Photography has taught me to stop, and to examine the details around me. There is beauty everywhere we look. My wish is that my passion for photography shows through in all my images.
